How do experts currently use AI? Temple's iNest Power Lunch on June 18 addressed that question. Dhruvi Naik, FOX '25, one of the iNest's Student Fellows, moderated the panel which included faculty experts across Temple. Panelist Subodha Kumar detailed how to understand what data is needed, how AI can improve operating room efficiency and spoke of further defining what kind of data may be needed for healthcare operations.
Amir Shoham's paper “The Intersection of Culture, Language, and Microfinance: Advancing Poverty Alleviation” was a finalist for the Aalto University's That’s Interesting! award. This award recognizes the conference papers presented at the Academy of International Business 2025 Conference that most effectively push the boundaries of our existing knowledge in the field by crossing boundaries, challenging taken-for-granted assumptions in the field, making an original argument, denying "old truths" and attracting the reader's attention. PhD student Ziyi Zhao, along with Sunil Wattal and Guohou Shan, PhD '24, received a best paper nomination for "Shortcuts or Blind Spots? The Undergraduate Enrollment Management's Fox Leadership Development Program has been redesigned and is now called FOX FORWARD. This new platform is every Fox student's gateway to getting involved — on campus, around Philly and beyond! It’s a dynamic co-curricular program designed to help you discover exciting events and experiences while building the skills that matter most. Bora Ozkan embarked on a two-week QS Quacquarelli Symonds tour across five cities in New Delhi to engage with inspiring prospective students at the QS event. He also joined a panel discussion on the future of global business education and shared details about Fox’s graduate programs, including the newly redesigned MBA launching in 2026.
This 2025-26 academic year, the Fox School’s B4USoar program and Freire Schools will collaborate for the seventh year of their partnership in helping shape the educational opportunities and futures for Philadelphia’s youth. The federal work-study program at Temple University uses federal grants to allow eligible students to earn funding via a bi-weekly paycheck to help cover the cost of non-billable educational expenses. Senior real estate and management information systems major Tina Nguyen is one of 40 recipients of a Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Network Foundation Awards Scholarship for the 2025-26 academic year, in addition to valuable network and career building opportunities. As president of the Gloucester Township NJ Economic Development Partnership Corporation, Dennis Paris emceed the 2025 GT Annual Business Breakfast on May 8 at Ron Jaworski's Valleybrook Country Club. Dennis' responsibilities also include board of trustees oversight, collaborating with local government, advising small businesses, ribbon cuttings, and interacting with potential developers and investors.
