Click here Dear Members and Colleagues, The Women Lawyers Association of New South Wales Inc (‘WLANSW’) is very proud to bring you the NSW Women Lawyers Achievement Awards for 2023. There are undoubtedly an abundance of women who deserve awards for the work they do; that work can include the day to day mentoring of staff, the work being done by hard working community lawyers, the rigorous work being done by our legal academics, it could be the work of our in house or government lawyers, the work done by our regional women lawyers is something that also needs to be commended. It is not only a fantastic opportunity to celebrate these fine legal minds, but also to come together as a community of women lawyers and our supporters. OUR GUEST SPEAKER: TEELA REID Teela Reid is a proud Wiradjuri and Wailwan woman, lawyer, essayist, storyteller, co-organiser of Rebellious Lawyers Australia and co-founder of @blackfulla_bookclub, a platform that honours First Nation’s Ancestors as the original Storytellers. Currently, Teela is a Sydney-based Senior Solicitor practicing in Aboriginal Land Rights litigation and is the current Practitioner in residence at Sydney Law School.
