Dear Members and Colleagues, 

The Women Lawyers Association of New South Wales Inc (‘WLANSW’) is very proud to bring you the NSW Women Lawyers Achievement Awards for 2023.

 

There are undoubtedly an abundance of women who deserve awards for the work they do; that work can include the day to day mentoring of staff, the work being done by hard working community lawyers, the rigorous work being done by our legal academics, it could be the work of our in house or government lawyers, the work done by our regional women lawyers is something that also needs to be commended. The awards are to recognise women lawyers who are outstanding in their field.

Winners of the Awards will be announced at a Gala Presentation Dinner to be held on Friday, 4 August 2023 at Doltone House, Jones Bay Wharf, Pyrmont. 

NOMINATE NOW VIA OUR ONLINE PORTAL

Sponsorship of an award will provide: 

  1. Sponsorship recognition for a 2023 Award category. Your company name and / or logo will appear on promotional materials such as advertising, website promotion, social media campaigns, printed materials at the Gala Dinner and media releases including to patrons and VIP guests.
  2. Your company logo and hyperlink on the 2023 Awards page
  3. A complimentary table of 10 attendees at the Gala Presentation Dinner on 4 August 2023. Additional seats or tables may be purchased at the WLANSW member rate.
  4. Presentation of the 2023 Award by your nominated representative on stage at the Gala Presentation Dinner on 4 August 2023.

OUR GUEST SPEAKER: TEELA REID

Teela Reid is a proud Wiradjuri and Wailwan woman, lawyer, essayist, storyteller, co-organiser of Rebellious Lawyers Australia and co-founder of @blackfulla_bookclub, a platform that honours First Nation’s Ancestors as the original Storytellers. Currently, Teela is a Sydney-based Senior Solicitor practicing in Aboriginal Land Rights litigation and is the

current Practitioner in residence at Sydney Law School. She is also a campaigner for the Uluru Statement from the Heart.
