About Project EDGE
A new means of dealing with Solar exports to the grid through smarter management supported by decentralised battery storage Unlocking the renewable energy ecosystem that will power Australia’s energy supply for decades to come. Mondo is partnering with communities to be more energy self-sufficient. We know energy and we have the people and experience to get the job done - safely and sustainably.
The energy systems which exist today were designed for the one-way flows of electricity from large-scale generators to consumers.This means that the full value of renewables are not being fully realised by Australian households and businesses.
The objectives of the trial are lofty – a new energy marketplace that fully realises the financial and environmental benefits of DER investments – accompanied by incentives for various levels of participation.
The EDGE Project targets a mix of residential and business customers within the North Eastern region of Victoria to achieve aggregated generation and storage capacity that can be applied within a market environment to provide a range of wholesale energy and local network services.
What is Indigo Power?
Indigo Power builds community energy hubs in towns across North East Victoria and Southern New South Wales. In 2020 we launched our electricity supply offer and have partnered with over 20 energy groups to deliver clean energy solutions, and local renewable generation and storage.
In 2021 we launched our energy sharing software, and our first community battery, connecting local customers with locally stored renewable energy.

Funded by Hume Community Power Hub and Mondo through a partnership between Renewable Albury Wodonga Energy, Albury Wodonga Australian Conservation Foundation and Business Wodonga.
The Solar for Business program, supports the economic recovery of Victorian businesses and the broader solar sector, with 15,000 solar PV rebates available over the next two years.
The program is now more accessible and open to even more Victorian businesses through interest-free loans, an expansion of the eligibility criteria and a change to allow the size of a solar system to a maximum solar inverter size of 30kW.
