Click here DigitalNZ and the rāhui During these eerie lockdown months the DigitalNZ team have been looking after digitalnz.org from our homes: adding new collections, welcoming new users, and taking care of the site's everyday maintenance. It's been gratifying to see students and teachers making regular use of DigitalNZ while schools were closed. We hope you have been keeping well during this difficult time. We'll keep in touch if anything changes, but for the moment rest assured that we're working hard to keep digitalnz.org running (and improving!) during the rāhui. Image: Regent Arcade, Karla Karaitiana, DigitalNZ's API supporting Kauwhata Reo It's wonderful to see DigitalNZ's API providing extra search results on the Ministry of Education's Kauwhata Reo site and connecting people to the collections of our content partners. Kauwhata Reo aggregates resources for teaching te reo Māori and DigitalNZ's API augments their resources with extra results. Check it out here, by clicking on the 'OTHER SITES' tab. Speaking of the API... We're seeking to better understand the needs of people using our API so that we can ensure the data is easy to work with. We will be sending out a brief survey about the API in the next few weeks, so if you, or someone you know, has some feedback and would like to take part, please get in touch. Otherwise, we'll be sending the survey out to accounts we've identified as regular API users. We'd love your whakaaro on how we can improve this service. For 3 weeks over March–April we ran our annual satisfaction survey and are pleased to report that overall people are happy with digitalnz.org, with a median satisfaction rating of 87%, up slightly on last year's result. The survey also identified several areas for us to improve, such as filtering results on mobile devices and editing stories. Onwards! Heoi anō tāku mō nāianei.
