As we head into the holiday and finals seasons, don't forget to make time to make! Creative breaks can relieve stress, stimulate your immune system, and help you study more effectively.  

Make It Movie Night

SEE this year's One Minute Film Festival submissions! ENJOY a snack while you watch micro-short movies and some UNBELIEVABLE vintage advertisements! REVEL in the creativity!

Come by C4C: The Understory to get a look at this year's crop of one-minute films. Films will show in a loop on our stage from 8-9:30 p.m. so drop by anytime and stay as long as you like.

Popcorn and other snacks will be available free at our concession stand. Bring a friend or three and chill with stuff you won't find on Netflix.

Cut It Out

Join the Center for Latin American Studies and the Center for Creativity to make papel picado in honor of the Day of the Dead.

Papel picado, the colorful cut paper banners used for Mexican fiestas, is translated as “minced paper” because it is made by cutting out shapes in a see-through pattern.

It is commonly displayed for both secular and religious occasions, and is often incoporated into altars during the Day of the Dead. Come learn its history and meaning and how to make it!

Looking for a way to relax before the stress of holidays and finals? We've got you covered like a weighted blanket. 

Drop by C4C: The Understory to make a bracelet or a stress ball for yourself or a friend. Disappear into watercolors or meditative coloring. Make some time to get back in touch with your creative spirit. 

Wear your comfiest clothes, come early for cocoa and cookies, and get your hygge on for an hour or two.
