Product Update: HD-STK - Intermittent Motion Stick Pack Cartoner
AFA has designed a new HD-STK Stick pack cartoner to handle stick packs at over 450 ppm. The HD-STK features a simple interface with an upstream 10-lane stick pack machine which saves floor space and increases operating efficiency. The system features an auto-bottom carton feeder, rarely used for end-of-line packaging automation. AFA's innovative sure-load carton closing technology ensures stick packs will not fall out of the carton during machine indexing. The system comes standard with an Allen Bradley PanelView 1000 HMI, a robust frame for 24/7 operation, and servo motors and drives (Video ID: 437).
Product Update: MK-IMA - Compact Intermittent Motion Autoload Cartoner
The MK-IMA is a small footprint, semi-automatic cartoner that can handle a wide range of applications. This application featured the MK-IMA handling three-pack cartons of snack food trays. An intermittent motion servo-driven indexing conveyor provides smooth operator loading into the buckets. The cartoner loads two (2) cartons per cycle making the system easily reach 30 cartons per minute speed. Servo motors and drives on all major actuated components improve trouble-shooting capabilities and operation. Furthermore, the MK-IMA utilizes an Allen Bradley PLC with PanelView 1000 HMI.
Product Update: HD-LSP - Heavy Duty Linear Servopack Autoload Cartoner
AFA Systems redesigned its HD-LSP autoload cartoner. The cartoner now features collating gantry robots designed and built by AFA Systems, making spare parts, support, and service all from one supplier instead of a third robot supplier. The system can interface with two upstream flow wrappers to achieve speeds of 200 bars per minute or greater. Change over is very simple and servo drives are available for integration on key adjustment points. The cartoner loads five (5) cartons per cycle, ensuring minimal machine vibrations and smooth operation. A heavy-duty frame provides 24/7 operation and long-lasting performance.
