Amen TERM 2 WEEK 1 - 17 APRIL 2024 PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGEDear Parents and Caregivers, Welcome back to school and to what will be a busy 11-week term! It has been wonderful catching up with all of the holiday adventures while out on duty. All of the children have come back excited and enthusiastic for the learning journey ahead. This was most certainly evident chatting to the Year 1 and 2 students on their return from Kings Park on Tuesday afternoon. Strategic Planning 2024 Our Lady of Grace school acknowledges parents as the first educators of their children and we partner with them in this education journey. We believe in the inherent strength and individuality of each child in our school. Our Vision for Learning and Our Early Years Charter outline our teaching philosophy and practices to empower all of our students to be able to reach their God given potential. For the past three years, we have been guided in our work by the Strategic Plan that was developed by staff and community in 2019. A link to the current plan can be found here. This Strategic Plan has outlined the direction Our Lady of Grace school and the evidence of the plan can be seen in initiatives such as our Wellbeing strategy and SHARER Model, the integration of iPads into our learning and the development of a Physical Movement Specialist role to name but a few. This term, we will embark on the journey to develop our new strategic plan to build on the strengths of our community and to carry us forward. The process will begin in the next few weeks to gather data from the community before moving into a consultation period. We believe that by working with our school and Parish community to provide quality Catholic education we fulfil our vocation to teaching and empower our children to live life to the full. More details will follow in upcoming newsletters to outline how you can be involved.
