Dear physiotherapy practitioner, The Physiotherapy Council of NSW (the Council) has participated in the Indigenous Allied Health Australia (IAHA) Scholarship Program in 2023 and 2024. In doing so, we funded an Indigenous physiotherapist registered in NSW to participate in the IAHA National Conference in those two years. The Council is proud to announce that we are participating in the IAHA Scholarship Program again this year, and that applications are now open. Through this program, we will fund a scholarship for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander physiotherapy student currently studying at a NSW university, or who previously lived in NSW before enrolling as a physiotherapy student at a university outside NSW, or an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander physiotherapist who lives and works in NSW, to attend and participate in the IAHA National Conference: https://iaha.com.au/events/iaha-national-conference/ We strongly encourage you to share this scholarship opportunity with your students. What is the IAHA? What is the 2025 IAHA National Conference?
The conference will take place on the lands of the Kabi Kabi peoples on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, from 24 – 26 November 2025. What will the scholarship cover? Who can apply for the scholarship? Applications close on 2 July 2024. How can I apply? Kind regards, Physiotherapy Council of NSW |
