The symposium provides ambitious, intellectually motivated undergraduate students the opportunity to present and defend their original research or creative work among peers, faculty, family, and friends. LGLS 3581 (Pre-law Internship Seminar) now accepting applications![]() The Pre-law Internship Seminar course in Legal Studies (LGLS 3581) is an academic course intended to give students experience applying conceptual learning to the real world of legal practice. Learn more and apply today. The application form must be completed and uploaded to the following OneDrive folder Law 3581 Fall 2025 Applications. Course dates: The Internship Seminar runs in fall 2025 but applications are due by April 25. Internship matching: If you are accepted into the course, you will be matched with an internship placement at a private law firm, government agency, nonprofit agency, in-house counsel/compliance department or judicial chambers and provided the opportunity to work on law-related projects and under the guidance of a mentor. Recent placements: Students have been placed in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, Chambers of a federal judge, PA Innocence Project, Education Law Center, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS), Community Legal Services, an Employee Benefits/Risk Liability Broker, and private law firms that handle business law, criminal law, and employment law, among others. Students may also take the course using an internship that they have secured on their own as long as it is vetted and accepted by Professor Leora Eisenstadt. Schedule: All students are expected to work approximately 8-10 hours per week at their internships. In addition, students attend a weekly seminar class covering a wide range of topics including: the economics of legal practice, the history and development of the legal profession, ethical issues involving confidentiality and attorney whistleblowing, judging and judges, and legal education, among others. Course credit and major: Students receive 3 course credits in exchange for their participation in the seminar and on-site work. Preference is given to Legal Studies majors and minors and to juniors and seniors but there are always spaces available for non-Legal Studies students and non-Fox students. ![]() Celebrate Temple seniors with special gifts from the Alumni Association!
