Welcome to the University of Warwick Science Park's (UWSP) Business Ready newsletter. In this edition, we are launching a new series of Business Ready funded workshops which will take place between September and December this year. This is a good opportunity for business owners to upskill themselves or their staff.
We are also covering an article about our second Growth Plus network meeting on accessing and developing skills. In addition to success stories of some of our clients, the newsletter will give you an overview of relevant local events and informative articles on high growth businesses and sources of funding.
Business Ready Workshop Series
In response to demand we are expanding our team of workshop facilitators to provide a wider scope of topics popular to our clients. We may also be able to deliver in-house workshops for your team.
GrowthPlus Network focuses on the Skills Gap
In August, the Business Ready programme launched a new networking group to help ambitious businesses in Coventry and Warwickshire develop their potential.
A second GrowthPlus Network meeting was recently held at the University of Warwick Science Park to encourage firms to promote themselves in order to plug their skills gaps.

News on funding & finance
Within Coventry and Warwickshire a number of EU ERDF grant support programmes are drawing to a close this calendar year.
This will lead to a period of uncertainty ahead as existing programmes come to a natural end this year and new contracts from Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) are released early in the New Year.
