The landing page now features News, upcoming Events and our Twitter feed (@GradSchoolUofA). We would be more than happy to advertise any HDR-related activities in your Schools, Faculties or Campuses. Just send us an email (graduate.research@adelaide.edu). We are also in the process of updating our industry page so we can promote available research internships in the future. The CaRST team has finalised the online Research Internship Preparation Course, and I encourage you to have a look if you consider undertaking an internship. As a reminder, eligible research internships at an approved partner organisation will be supported with a 3-month scholarship. If you have any questions regarding eligibility, processes or register your interest in internship opportunities, please check the website above or contact our industry team at hdr_internships@adelaide.edu.au. The recent Travel Grant Round attracted many applications, more than we were able to fund, unfortunately. If you are planning to travel later in the year/early next year, we will open a second round in August, so there is another chance of securing travel support. Please mask up and stay safe, Doreen Krumbiegel Director, Adelaide Graduate Research School Tip of the Month Did you know that there is a rise of Predatory Journals that take advantage of authors by asking them to publish for a fee without providing peer-review or editing services? TEQSA has published a handy list outlining some of the ways that you can tell whether the journal you are considering is legitimate, including access to a list of hijacked journals. Predatory publishing: A to Z elements is now available for download from TEQSA’s website. All students need a USI to receive a qualification upon successful completion from 2023. To create your USI, please visit the Australian Government’s website. The personal details you provide here must be exactly the same as those on record at the University of Adelaide. Once created, log into Access Adelaide and enter your USI in the Statistical Section page, under the ‘Students’ menu. Please contact Ask Adelaide if you require assistance. For international and offshore students, further information is available here; offshore international students are not required to provide a USI.
