Here’s a reminder of the timeline of the brand transition. In some areas, such as our all-staff emails (like this one) and newsletter, we’ve taken this opportunity to refresh the look of our templates, and soon we’ll launch an updated look for the Nest - more to come on this. The co-branded resources are for all staff to use, but if you have any questions around when or how to use them, please use the Co-branding query form, and our Marketing team will advise of the best option. Co-branded resources for staff useYou can start using the below resources in your work with stakeholders such as students, community groups and iwi. The resources you’ll find on the Nest (under Services > Marketing) are:
We also have four physical Te Pūkenga banners and two teardrop flags to use alongside our Unitec brand display at events (you can view and book the banners using the online form). There are also updated questions and answers (FAQ) on our website in the Te Pūkenga background information page. How to decide when to use co-brandingThere will be many opportunities to introduce co-branding in our work. In some situations, it will be easy to replace our Unitec logo with co-branding. However, it won’t always be practical to do so. For example, a logo on an online document is generally easy to change, whereas large campus signage is not. We’ll take a considered approach to decision-making, given we will fully transition to Te Pūkenga branding in 2023. Please use the Co-branding query form if you identify an opportunity to use co-branding, and we’ll get back to you within a week. Finally, thanks to everyone who is working behind the scenes to ensure a smooth transition to Te Pūkenga. It is a large and complex initiative and there are staff across Unitec who have taken on extra workload to support the transition. I acknowledge and appreciate your mahi. Peseta Sam Lotu-Iiga
