The end of the year is approaching fast. If you have not done so already, please talk to your supervisor and plan for their potential holidays and the University’s Christmas closure (24th December to 2nd January). The Grad School’s last day of operation is the 23rd December and we will reopen 9am on the 2nd January. During that time theses can be submitted online, and the team will attend to them once they return in January. If you want your thesis to be sent out to examiners before the closure, you will need to submit by 13th December the very latest. Some of you might use the break to start your field work away from campus or, if you are a joint award student, commence your research at your partner university. We need to remind you that it is crucial to submit your Study Away form BEFORE you travel. The process of applying for Study Away ensures that the University knows where you are and can support you if something goes wrong. More importantly, an approved Study Away application also means that you are covered under the University’s travel insurance. Please ensure that your application is submitted to the Adelaide Graduate Research School 2-3 weeks before you intend to travel. Best Wishes, Doreen Dr Doreen Krumbiegel, PhD MBA Director | Adelaide Graduate Research School Division of Research and Innovation Tip of the Month Prioritise Self-Care: Balance work with self-care.
