The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Australian Data and Insights Association (ADIA) will be held on Thursday, 13 November 2025, at 3:30 pm AEDT. 

The purpose of the meeting is to conclude the financial year reporting and elect Board members for 2025/26. The venue is Kantar Australia, Darling Park Tower 3, Level 8, 201 Sussex Street Sydney NSW. 

Please join us in person for formal proceedings followed by an industry panel discussion (from 4:10 to 4:45pm) and afterwards for drinks.

Working in the Age of AI – Do We Continue to Hire Graduates?

In a rapidly evolving workplace shaped by automation, AI, and emerging technologies, the traditional career pipeline from university to employment is under pressure. As AI tools become embedded in day-to-day operations across industries, employers are re-evaluating the value, skills, and readiness of recent graduates. This panel will explore whether hiring graduates still makes strategic sense in 2025, and how businesses in the data, insights, and research sectors are adapting their talent strategies.

Panellists will discuss whether hiring graduates remains a smart strategy in 2025 and examine how businesses are adapting their talent approaches.

We will consider questions such as:

• Do graduates possess the skills necessary for a workplace where AI is a primary consideration?
• How can we compare potential and current skills when hiring is driven by data?
• How can AI and automation help create early career opportunities in research?
• Are alternative pathways (micro-credentials, bootcamps, on-the-job learning) replacing traditional degrees?
• How can leaders ensure that equity, diversity, and inclusion remain strong as they rethink their talent acquisition strategies?
• What should leaders do to prepare their teams for the future and build a culture where people are ready to step up?

• 2.00 – 3.15pm: Advisory Committee Meeting (in person & online) 

• 3.30 – 4.00pm: Annual General Meeting (in person & online)

• 4.10 – 4:50pm: Industry panel discussion (in person & online) 

• 4.50– 5.45pm: Networking drinks (all members welcome).

• 6:00pm - onwards: Dinner at Mumu, 330 George Street, Sydney (Board and Committee members).
