Kicking off 2023 with a bang!

What a great way to celebrate the New Year, with the Sydney Thunder and Hobart Hurricanes showing off their skills at the magnficent Lavington Sports Ground.

Now we're straight back to business with an exciting calendar of events kicking off this summer, picking up projects as the weather dries out, giving you opportunities to have your say, and rewarding you for going green.

Deputy Mayor Steve Bowen is one of our first-time Councillors, well-known in the community as entertainer extraordinaire!

Over the last 12 months he's enjoyed learning the 'ins and outs' of Council operations, and being able to assist the local community in a different capacity. This year he's looking forward to swapping his L plates for P plates, and seeing what great events we can bring to our city.

We’ve been excited to get back to work this week at our highly anticipated Riverside Precinct at Hovell Tree Park, after flooding from the Murray River put the project on hold in late 2022. Now that the river levels have receded, our contractors can pick up right where they left off.
