Want to host a CEDRR Mixer?
The Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region (CEDRR) helps create the opportunity to network with others in the Rutland County business/non-profit community during its monthly mixers. CEDRR sponsors twelve mixers a year where you can enjoy great food, door prizes, a 50/50 raffle and a wonderful opportunity to engage with one another face-to-face. CEDRR's Mixers feature a new location each month and it’s a great way to build relationships and share information about your business/organization in a fun two-hour event. Mixers are open to all businesses/organizations and
community members. Questions? Want to host a mixer? We will be assembling our 2023 calendar soon, so for more information, please contact Chrispin White at chrispin@rutlandeconomy.com. Contact Chrispin →
Jenna Baird, recipient of the "Fantastic Farmer" award.
Jenna Baird named "Fantastic Farmer"
Jenna Baird of Baird Farm Maple in Chittenden, receives the "Fantastic Farmer" title and $5,000 from the A.Pizzagalli Family Farm Fund at the Vermont Community Foundation. Baird was chosen for her commitment to sustainable agriculture, land-use diversity, and environmental stewardship. Along with her partner Jacob Powsner and extended family, they raise Christmas trees, cut flowers, and
host a local beef cattle operation. "This award lifts up the work of farmers in our rural Vermont economy. Oftentimes that work goes unseen, so we feel this award is so important because it celebrates that real food comes from real farms,” said Jenna Baird. “This award will be put to good use so that on our farm we can continue to make and share our food and products with Vermonters and tourists alike!"
