SHARE | Drowning Prevention Toolkit

In Australia, drowning is the leading cause of preventable death in children. Aussie summers often involve the humble backyard swimming pool, however it is necessary to ensure appropriate measures are in place to prevent drowning related injuries. 

It is a great time to share the Know Injury toolkit, which provides information, resources and guidance to support Local Governments, health and community professionals in increasing community awareness of the importance of preventing drowning among toddlers.

Scholarships to the Preventive Health Conference 2020 in Perth

The Public Health Association Australia (PHAA) and the WA Health Promotion Foundation (Healthway) are offering scholarships to support rural/remote WA people and/or people working in Aboriginal &/or Torres Strait Islander preventive health in WA to attend the Preventive Health Conference. Applications close 16 February 2020.
