Apply for the ACS Scholars Program: Supporting Underrepresented Students in Chemistry

Applications for the American Chemical Society (ACS) Scholars Program are open from December 1, 2024, to March 1, 2025. This prestigious scholarship provides up to $5,000 per academic year to underrepresented minority students pursuing undergraduate degrees in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or related fields.

In addition to financial support, scholars gain access to mentorship opportunities and resources to help them excel academically and professionally. Since its inception, the ACS Scholars Program has awarded more than $25 million in scholarships to over 3,000 students.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  • Be African American, Hispanic/Latino, or Native American.
  • Enroll in or plan to enroll in a chemistry-related discipline.
  • Demonstrate academic achievement and financial need.
