Promoting and protecting the data, insights and research industry

WELCOME BOARD MEMBERS FOR 2023-24

Dear ADIA Members,

Thank you to the many members who attended our recent Annual General Meeting. It was an impressive turnout (in the room and online) and a great show of industry support. I also trust you enjoyed hearing from our special guest speaker, Dr Bridie O'Donnell, who generously shared her experience and insight about leadership, leading through change and the importance of self-care in challenging times.

The purpose of the AGM is to elect the Board and adopt the Financial Report officially, and I'm pleased to announce the return of our office bearers, elected unopposed, for a one-year term:

  • George Zdanowicz, CEO of Enhance Research, elected for a fifth year as President
  • Josephine Foti, CEO of Wallis Social Research, returns to the Vice President position
  • Sarah Wrigley, Founder & Director of Gundabluey Research, is Treasurer for the fifth year and;
  • Martin Filz, CEO of PureProfile, continues as Secretary.

ADIA also welcomed the re-appointment of Ordinary Board members: Laura Robbie, Managing Director, YouGov; Jenny Witham, Partner, Fiftyfive5; Simon Wake, CEO, Ipsos; Katie Ferro, CEO, CRNRSTONE and Mark Zuker, Managing Director, JWS Research. Erik Heller, Partner at Ernst & Young, also stepped up from the Advisory Committee to an Ordinary Board member role.

These members represent continued stability and a dedicated level of support at the Board level, which is critical to the longevity of the Association.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Diane Herz, CEO at SRC, who has stepped down after two years on the Board. We are also indebted to the SRC team for their hospitality in hosting the AGM event in Melbourne.

Looking ahead

ADIA will continue to develop and invest in projects, including quality standards, education, certification, networking, and strategic partnerships that allow our members to thrive. We will also closely monitor and respond to legislative and regulatory activity at the Federal and state levels, providing information on various issues that may impact our operational environment.

I look forward to working with industry leaders and the broader membership over the coming year to help ensure that ADIA continues to meet our member needs across the full breadth of the industry, delivering relevant, reliable and accessible services for organisations of all sizes whilst maintaining excellent corporate governance and a high degree of transparency and accountability.

If you would like to become more involved in supporting our work, please don't hesitate to reach out, as we would welcome your participation.
