The competition was fierce, with clubs from Northland, Far North, North Harbour, Counties Manukau, and Auckland battling over five nail-biting rounds. Mt Albert Bowling Club emerged victorious, thanks to standout performances — particularly Ryan Hill’s dominant singles campaign and a sensational final end from the pairs duo, Hitesh Ranchhod and Mark Posa. A dramatic jack movement sealed a last-gasp win, pushing Mt Albert past Orewa by a razor-thin +2 differential. Membership is open now, entries for events will open on 1 June and will be open until Thursday 5:00 pm, before the weekend of the events, with the draws being released at 3:00 pm Friday. 👉To find out how it all works here ABC Junior Champ of Champ Singles![]() We are now just three weeks away from the Auckland Bowling Club Junior Champ of Champ Singles for 2025; we will be playing on King’s Birthday weekend, Saturday 31 May and Sunday 1 June, and entries close on Sunday 25 May at 7pm. The format includes section play on Saturday and 16 players battling it out in the knockout phase at Auckland BC on Sunday. Every player will have a minimum of three games. The tournament will be reported on BowlsHub, and the plan is that it will carry ranking points. The tournament remains open to any qualified player in New Zealand, and the entry fee is $20 per person, which will be collected at the venues. As well as the Greame Scott Shield for the winner, there will be a cash prize pool with values yet to be determined. Qualification will remain the same:
All we can guarantee is that you’ll see club shirts you’ve never seen before, meet people you may not otherwise meet, and have a chance to test yourself against others striving to excel in their formative bowling years.
