Join faculty from international business and related disciplines for an overview of how new technologies are altering the landscape of central banks, and what research and teaching opportunities are needed to fully understand these changes in the coming years.

This interactive lecture will feature an exploration of leading central bank digital currency (CBDC) projects as well a discussion of initiatives brewing in Congress and the executive branch. As the U.S. federal government begins to seriously tackle issues with the internationalization of competitor currencies, opportunities for academic research are expected to rise.
