Welcome to the Winter Edition of SPARK

Welcome to the Winter 2023 edition of Spark which contains stories that highlight the wider social impact of our community beyond its significant contribution to innovation and economics.

The way companies and individuals came together to support the Giving Trees for the Kids Out at Christmas campaign was something to be proud of.

Equally important will be publication in January 2024 of the 2022/23 UWSP Impact Report which will show how we contribute to the regional economy and innovation ecosystem.

An example of this is the recognition of Moasure being listed in the FT1000 of fastest growing companies in Europe on 149th position overall as well as We Are Digital making it into the Sunday Times 100 of fastest growing UK companies is a great success and an inspiration for our community.

As we close for the year, we are looking forward to a year of growth as well as the celebration of our 40th anniversary, an exciting milestone for University of Warwick Science Park.

The gift of giving at UWSP this Christmas

In the spirit of spreading joy and festive cheer, the University of Warwick Science Park has partnered with KidsOut Charity for the annual GivingTree initiative.

This year, the University of Warwick Science Park has received an allocation of 250 gift tags for their Christmas trees at its four centres located in Coventry, Warwick, Binley, and Blythe Valley. Each tag represents a heartfelt wish from a child in need, and participants are encouraged to select a tag, purchase the requested gift, and contribute to making a child’s Christmas a little brighter.

The GivingTree initiative by KidsOut Charity has been making a significant impact in communities across the country, bringing smiles to the faces of countless children who may otherwise go without during the holiday season.
