Hello ProteinMB Associate,

ProteinMB is expanding our team, and we are thrilled to have Kasia McMillan and Sacha Roth-Masson on board as ProteinMB Facilitators!

This week Manitoba is celebrating the 10th annual Farm and Food Awareness Week with the theme Sustainable Agriculture: Feeding the Future. ProteinMB held an Indigenous Strategic Roadmap Webinar on September 19 to share information about ProteinMB’s Indigenous Strategic Roadmap and featured presentations from Farm Credit Canada and the National Circle of Indigenous Agriculture and Food on Indigenous agriculture initiatives. If you were not able to attend, you can access the full webinar here with the access code: Rb8gq=yU

Over the past month our team has participated in ongoing meetings and engagements with the protein ecosystem, including meeting with RRC Polytechnic to identify synergies and collaboration opportunities as well as participating in the Protein Industries Canada AGM and Conference. We held our quarterly Sustainable Protein Board Meeting and co-developed a term of reference and meeting topics with our Sustainable Protein Consortium of Food Processors.  There is still opportunity for food processors to join this exciting new initiative. Please contact ProteinMB if you are interested and would like more information.

This fall I am looking forward to working together through new engagement pathways, the launch of the ProteinMB video and new digital content, an updated ProteinMB website, and more.

Thank you for being a part of ProteinMB. Together, we’re driving the future of sustainable protein.

Best,

Jillian Einarson
Managing Director
