Create a Cartonera

Celebrate the start of Latinx and Hispanic Heritage Month by making your own cartonera with the C4C and PanteraCartonera@Pitt

Cartoneras are handmade books made with recycled cardboard. The phenomenon started in Argentina and has expanded across the world, adapting to local contexts, communities, and social needs.

Basic materials and snacks supplied. If you have items with personal meaning you would like to use, please bring them. Register now

Move Breathe Paint

Monday, Sept. 25 | 3-4 p.m.

The Stress Free Zone and C4C partner up to help you relieve that start-of-semester stress through movement and making.

Hallie Stotsky, coordinator of the Stress Free Zone, will lead you through 30 minutes of yoga, followed by mindful breathing exercises and painting to create your own watercolor art. 

No yoga or painting experience required! Comfortable clothes to move and paint in is all you need. Register now

Are Mondays a drag? Come down to C4C: The Workshop and make, explore, and connect with others, including a University Counseling Center counselor and creator.

Grab your latest project (or start a new one!) and join us to cultivate your creative outlet. We work on and share projects while talking about broader themes of wellness, self-expression, and self-care. No reservation necessary!

Spotlight Community at Open Mic

Thursday, Sept. 28 | 8:30-10 p.m.

At our first open mic, we had beatboxing, poetry, stand-up, music from Pink Floyd to swing violin, and a drop-in from "I'm Just Ken." What will we have this time? That's up to you.

Get our upcoming open mic on your calendar and come by to perform or just to hang out and experience something new. First-time performers are welcome! 

Define Democracy Through Art

Lovers of art and democracy, assemble for thought-provoking discussion, free food, and art-making!

Join Morgan Overton, Frederick Honors College Artist-in-Residence, for a one-on-one, interactive interview with Department of Political Science professor Eugene DePasquale about "Defining Democracy."

Afterward, create your own piece of art based on the discussion. Food and art supplies will be provided. Register now
