The Winter Market

The Rivet makerspace at Discovery Space is holding it's third annual Winter Market on November 5 and 6 from 10 am to 5 pm. Local artists will have items for sale, and members of The Rivet will have crafts for sale in the Maker Booth. There will also be a variety of food trucks, raffle baskets, and a silent auction.

The event will take place inside The Rivet and outside in the parking area of the Discovery Space of Central Pennsylvania (1224 N. Atherton St., State College). During the Winter Market, admission to the Discovery Space science center will be free! Be sure to stop by if you're in the area that first weekend of November.

Science-U 2023

Plans are underway for another engaging summer of science experiences with Science-U 2023! We are looking forward to the return of several favorite camps such as Nature Explorers and Nittany Bots: LEGO Robotics for elementary campers; Life in Space, Ecology, and Finding Your Roots for middle school campers; and Make It Matter, Premed Academy, and Ecology Expedition for high school campers. We also plan to offer two mini summer school sessions, as well as our STEM camp for high school students on the autism spectrum.

Information and details about the 2023 camps and programs will be available by the end of the year. In addition, we should have applications available for specific scholarships within a month. Online registration for Science-U camps will open at NOON on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. Stay tuned!
