May is always a welcome month here at Cleaning Technique, longer days enable our staff to go to and from work in daylight. As always we are very grateful for each team member and the role they play to enable our business to succeed. April brought an increase in the
National Living wage and also our financial year end, so it has been a very busy time for Jon
in the office, as he centralises all the information required by our accountant.

Olga is our Employee of the Month for May
Olga has worked for us for many years at an insurance company in Alcester. Since she first joined our
team she has always done an excellent job and is very reliable. Our client is always full of praise for
her and really appreciates all she does to keep their offices clean.
We're delighted to have Olga working for us and she thoroughly deserves this month’s award.

This month we thought we’d give you glimpse of the man ‘on the phone’, our Office Manager. Jon has been an integral part of our business for the last 21 years.

What did you want to do when you were growing up? - An Airline Pilot
What do you enjoy most about your role here at Cleaning Technique? - The ability to sort employee & customer queries through successful communication.
Your favourite thing to do? - Enjoying a home cooked Sunday Lunch with my wife Jean, our 4 children & 7 grandchildren (and the relaxing afternoon nap that follows!)
The Changing Cost of Commercial Cleaning
In April 2016, the Government introduced the National Living Wage requiring employers to pay anyone over the age of 25 a minimum of £7.20 an hour, this has increased each year and this April it is now £8.21 per hour. Read the rest of the article HERE
