A weekend that was!-- Aggie Motu Mt Eden’s eventful journey On day two, they faced the Sutton brothers, who had just come off the TV rink. Unfortunately, Mt Eden narrowly lost 16-18. This defeat led to a match against a Thames Valley team that couldn’t qualify, where Mt Eden was edged out by 3 shots, ending their chances of advancing. Despite the disappointing outcome, we all enjoyed a Saturday night dinner at Rope & Twine, with Chris and Jordan providing much laughter. It was an opportunity for us to bid farewell to Jordan and his family, and wish them all the best as they prepare to move across the Tasman. They quickly made themselves the team to watch, earning the top qualifier spot in section four. Pringle Park made a last-minute charge to pip Onehunga & Districts at the post in the final round. Howick 2 was the top qualifier overall with 31 rink points out of a possible 36. Henderson exceeded all expectations, finishing second and earning a spot in the finals.
