Shirley Malcom building dedication

Dr. Shirley Malcom (1974 Ph.D. Ecology) will be honored during a building dedication at the University Park campus in April. Innovation Park’s 329 Building will be named to honor Dr. Malcom, a noted scientist and leading advocate for representation in the sciences for women and girls of color. Alpha Chi Sigma alumni group creates $1.5 million in new scholarship endowments

Penn State alumni of the national professional chemistry fraternity Alpha Chi Sigma have committed $1.5 million to endow scholarships in the three colleges where most of their members earned their degrees. Read the story in Penn State News.

Alumni Achievement Award

The Alumni Achievement Award recognizes alumni 35 years of age and younger for their extraordinary professional accomplishments. This year, Eberly alumna Therese Jones was one of 11 alumni chosen by the Penn State Alumni Association to receive the award. Read more on our college page.

Black History Month keynote speaker
February 28th at 4 p.m. EST

Join the Eberly College of Science Climate and Diversity Committee in welcoming Dr. Avery August. The end of an era

For almost eight decades, 117 Osmond has served as an educational hub for Penn State students and faculty. The Penn State physics community has also heard lectures in this room from many luminaries in physics, including at least two dozen Nobel Prize winners. But all good things must come to end. 117 and 119 Osmond will come down in the not too distant future to make way for a new physics tower!
