Whether you are in your last few months and putting the finishing touches on your thesis, or just getting started, it’s beneficial to think about what comes next, and to make sure you are prepared. We’re continuing with the employability series, featuring many workshops that will give you actionable, practical advice that you can implement right now, to prepare you for your future career. A highlight of this series is the career panel sessions at the end of the month, where we will hear from PhD graduates who have found success in academia, government, and their own businesses. These are separated by discipline so we can hear from students with different backgrounds, but I’d encourage you to come to both sessions and broaden your horizons. Also coming up in mid-November is a new session on networking. A lot of people don’t find networking to be a natural skill (myself included), so this session will offer practical tips, and then a chance to practice them. This session promises to be very interactive, so come along ready to engage… I might even see you there! Best wishes, Katy Dolman Training & Development EventsBefore registering for CaRST events, please review our no-show policy.
