Taking Advantage of Your Pitt Education Benefits

As we kick off the fall 2025 semester, we want to remind you about eligibility and upcoming deadlines for the University of Pittsburgh's education benefits.

Pitt offers tuition reimbursement benefits at the Pittsburgh campus and all regional campuses for eligible employees, their dependents, and their spouse or domestic partner. Learn more about eligibility for education benefits.

Key deadlines

  • Sept. 10, 2025: Request forms for Fall 2025 education benefits for dependents should be submitted by this date to avoid tuition-related late fees.
     
  • Oct. 31, 2025: To retain education benefits for the fall semester, an employee must remain in an eligible role through Oct. 31, 2025. The benefit will be rescinded if an employee voluntarily terminates or moves to an ineligible position prior to that date.
     
  • Dec. 13, 2025: This is the final deadline to request fall 2025 education benefits. Education benefit requests must be submitted prior to the end of the requested term. Benefit requests for fall 2025 will not be accepted after this date.
     

Before applying or requesting the benefit, review eligibility and policy details. Be sure to submit all required documentation on time.
