Advice regarding accreditation assessments in 2022

Recent flood events and the COVID-19 pandemic continues to create challenges for the health system. In some instances, this may impact the ability for health service organisations to participate in accreditation assessments to the NSQHS Standards. To provide certainty for health service organisations, and facilitate accreditation assessments proceeding, the Commission has released advice that will apply to health service organisations due to be assessed during 2022.

National Safety and Quality Digital Mental Health Standards – Guide for service providers

This Guide provides practical advice on how to implement the Digital Mental Health Standards to improve safety and quality and ensure the best possible service is provided.

The guide includes examples of the evidence service providers may use to show that they meet each of the actions in the National Safety and Quality Digital Mental Health Standards.

Advice on implementing the updated Delirium Clinical Care Standard

The Delirium Clinical Care Standard describes the optimal care that patients with or at risk of delirium should receive at presentation or during their hospital stay

The advisory has been developed to clarify the requirements for health service organisations to transition from the 2016 to the 2021 Delirium Clinical Care Standard.
