The Coal Loader Sketchbook Challenge is back! Working with local artists you can learn how to make a concertina book, take a special tour of the MV Cape Don and take part in a community exhibition of works in September. From today (1 June) the next step in the NSW single-use plastics ban comes into effect. These measures will help prevent an estimated 2.7 billion plastic items from entering the natural environments of NSW over the next 20 years, protecting wildlife, the environment and the community. Salon de Refuse returns to The Coal Loader in November! First hosted on site in 2021, this environmental art-sharing event is created by Street Bounty, presented by The Coal Loader, and curated by YOU! North Sydney Council wants to hear your feedback on the draft Community Strategic Plan which sets out the community’s long term vision for the area. The plan includes a new community vision statement, and refreshed strategies centred around 5 key themes. Feedback closes 8 June.
