TEAM MOTIVATION

Celebrating Your Team

December is a critical time to reflect on your team's achievements and growth. Did you set goals for your practice? If so, now is the time to measure team progress while celebrating wins and spreading positivity.

To celebrate your team is to ACKNOWLEDGE and RECOGNISE them as a team and as individuals. Because if there’s one thing that most of your team want more of in their job, it's acknowledgement! From the most basic “thank you” to something more meaningful, rewarding and recognising your team is a great motivator:

  • Verbalise your appreciation
  • Take an interest in the whole person: their lives, family, hobbies
  • Inspire your team to stay engaged and be productive
  • Create a more positive work environment
  • Provide education, training and development opportunities
  • Build camaraderie and boost morale
  • Motivate and others will follow

It is also important to slow down, notice your experiences and acknowledge yourself with self celebrations.

  • “Show up” and set goals for yourself
  • Name your celebrations
  • Acknowledge the progress you’ve made, the skills you’ve learned and habits you’ve formed
  • Stop and give yourself credit!
  • Keep a journal of your accomplishments & share these with your colleagues

The Carrot Principle

The most successful managers provide their team with frequent, effective and meaningful recognition. One way to do this is with the Carrot Principle - a method of purpose-based recognition that delivers outstanding results.

Learn about the Carrot Principle in this video, or click below for a list of powerful recognition ideas leveraging the 'carrot' framework.

FINANCE

ProAccounts November Statement

The due date for payment of your November statement is by COB Friday 24th December. This year the ProVision office is closing for two weeks from COB Wed 22nd December 5pm and reopening on Wednesday 5th January 8.30am.

It would be ideal if December payments could be paid by lunchtime on Wednesday 22nd December so these can be receipted onto your account before the office is closed.  If you pay your account via multiple payments then this is especially important to ensure your receipts can be allocated prior to the office closing if you would like the settlement discount to be applied to your account. Please remember to be eligible for the settlement discount then the following two conditions must apply:

  1. You must have used ProAccounts to select and acknowledge payment through the system.
  2. Full payment must be received into the ProVision bank account by the 24th of December (25th is a Saturday and Christmas Day)

If either of these two conditions is not met you will not be eligible for the discount. If you have any questions then please reach out to the accounts team via Live chat (through the ProAccounts website), email at accounts@provision.com.au or phone on 03 8544 3900 (option 2).
