Graduation 2023 Edition! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Congratulations to the Class of 2023 All faculty and staff are extremely proud of this group of students who have embraced the pursuit of knowledge and developed the skills necessary for success in post-secondary education. I always find graduation day to be a very emotional and heartful one. Some of our current graduates have been boarding students since grade 7 and it is very difficult to say good-bye. These students have made a significant contribution to our community and their influence will remain with Brookes forever. I wish for them to embrace life and its challenges and joys, and to enjoy the journey life takes them on. For Grade 12 students, the final term 3 report will be issued next week, and they will receive a BC transcript which they can access through the BC transcript services and they all know how to do this. At the end of August, we will receive the IB transcripts, and I will have those mailed to students. Upon student request, the IBO will send an electronic copy of the transcript to universities in July. Let me know if you have any questions about these processes. Have a wonderful long weekend. With kind regards Linda Bayes Deputy Head of School ![]() Dear Brookes Westshore Families and Friends, Today, the time has come to bid farewell to our DP2 students. Our graduating class of 2023 has exemplified perseverance, resilience, and academic excellence throughout their high school journey. We take immense pride in witnessing their transformation into confident young adults ready to take on the world. But their journey here has not been a solitary one. Behind each and every one of them, there is a network of unwavering support – their family, friends, and teachers who have stood by their side, offering guidance and encouragement. Today is as much a celebration of their love, sacrifice, and dedication as it is of the graduates’ accomplishments. I’d like to express our gratitude to everyone for their unwavering commitment to our students’ success. And we have every confidence that our graduating class of 2023 will go on to accomplish remarkable things to make the world a better place! It is a fun activity that also offers an opportunity for students to be of service to the community. Everyone is invited - patisseries and café are "by donation". The wonderful Patisserie Daniel, "the only true French patisserie in Victoria" according to Madame Tremblay, donates all the patisseries. Our own former teacher Art Brendon also paints Al Fresco at the café and French music is played. Several of our students have already volunteered to take part and help make it a great success for the community. If you would like to come along - it starts at 10 am and will be wrapping up around noon. We'll see you there! ![]() Student Leadership Creativity Committee Calling all Brookes parents!
