Back to Valencia to round off GoNexus!

line

It is almost the end. In June 2021, the Spanish city of Valencia hosted the launch of the GoNexus project. It will return soon for a final meeting this coming May to officially bring the project to a close.

Over the past four years, all the partners have made significant progress in researching and shaping an efficient and sustainable governance system based on the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem (WEFE) Nexus approach.

Together, they have also worked hard to raise awareness about the importance of better resource management.

Today, the growing demand for water, energy, and food—and its impact on ecosystems—must be considered if we are to achieve long-term resilience across economic, environmental, and social dimensions. 🌱🌍

This latest newsletter edition is full of information about:

  • The first GoNexus Winter School which aim was to pass on scientific knowledge to younger generations and spark inspiration.
  • Key insights on the Zambezi Dialogue, one of the project's eight case studies.
  • Our new scientific paper on how seasonal flooding affects cropland in the Senegal River Basin.

Additionnally, we've included some project materials showcasing our progress so far:

  • Replay access to our full webinar series
  • View our collection of factsheets detailling results from each of the eight GoNexus case studies.

And last but not least, we are thrilled to be featured in the European Energy Innovation magazine, where we highlight game-changing solutions that are transforming the energy sector 🔌⚡

We hope you enjoy this seventh and final edition —and who knows, maybe we’ll cross paths again soon as we continue exploring the WEFE Nexus 🙌
