WinterClubWinterClub kicks off this Sunday with Rounds 1 & 2 played across five venues; Royal Oak, Otāhuhu Railway, Te Atatu, St Heliers and Blockhouse Bay. It's a great event to shake off the winter blues with your fellow clubmates! Wear your club uniform or mufti, but as it's a winter event make sure to come prepared for all weather conditions! More importantly - have fun playing and good luck everyone! Great Western ShowdownThere was no rest for the wicked Sunday morning as 1-3 Year players from across the city rode up to Glen Eden's club for the 6th annual Great Western Showdown. Instigated in 2018 by Sammy Sadler, the tournament provides an opportunity for players at the start of their bowling career to compete against contemporaries without any fear of facing any veteran bowl-slingers. The day went well with some great bowls being played in a positive atmosphere on and off the green. -- Darren Schroeder The folks who collected their rewards: What's up Ōtāhuhu Railway
