The City of Coffs Harbour will host Coffs Harbour's first AFLW premiership match at the C.ex Coffs International Stadium with the Sydney Swans hosting the Richmond Tigers.

The DoorDash National Youth Championships Touch Football competition is coming to the Coffs Coast, bringing an expected 10,000+ visitors to the region. This is a new Major Event for The City boosting the visitor economy.

Planning for the proposed Dorrigo Arc Rainforest Centre and Dorrigo Escarpment multi-day great walk is continuing with construction planned to kick off next year. September update includes:

Take 3 for the Sea workshop

NORTH COAST TAKE 3 FOR THE SEA GROUND SWELL ONLINE WORKSHOP

Ground Swell is a Take 3 for the Sea Program created to inform and empower the NSW tourism industry to collaborate to reduce litter impacts in our beautiful holiday locations and to work towards and maintain litter-free destinations. The free Program provides practical tried-and-true strategies and solutions for both operators and their local communities in high traffic tourism destinations dependent on vulnerable nature-based resources.

In this online workshop, the Take 3 team will introduce the identifiable underlying causes of littering, provide recommended solutions and coach participants to develop a tailor-made action plan, enabling your businesses to:

  • access a suite of relevant resources
  • blend litter reduction solutions and source reduction best practice into your core values
  • weave litter prevention into your customer-facing narrative through positive involvement and storytelling
  • monitor positive impacts and share successes.
  • take confident leadership within your community
  • collaborate with like-minded operators, share challenges and solutions.
