Literacy Pittsburgh Is Part of the #ONEDAY Critical Needs Alert

On August 4, Literacy Pittsburgh is taking part in the #ONEDAY Critical Needs Alert, an online fundraising event hosted by The Pittsburgh Foundation and The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County. This event helps nonprofits that provide important services across our region.

If Literacy Pittsburgh has helped you and you are able to give, please consider making a donation of any size. Giving is always optional. However, your gift can help other students continue learning and working toward their goals.

Your support helps pay for college and career readiness programs, English language classes, job readiness training, and digital literacy classes for students like you. These programs give adults and families the skills they need to build brighter futures.

Every donation of $25 or more will receive extra funding from a special match pool, so your gift will have an even bigger impact!

Please help us spread the word by sharing this opportunity with your friends and family — watch our social media for posts to share — and consider supporting Literacy Pittsburgh on August 4!

Congratulations to Nora and Edilia on passing their citizenship tests! This is a wonderful achievement. Congratulations to you both! 🎉

Rocio joined Teacher Shirley’s citizenship class in February and worked diligently to improve her speaking and writing skills. Through class instruction, mock interviews, and dedicated practice on her own time, she steadily built her confidence and abilities. Her hard work paid off when she successfully passed her citizenship interview and test on April 20. Congratulations, Rocio, on this outstanding achievement! 🎉
