Community-engaged Scholarship Development Cohort

The Community-engaged Scholarship Project Development Cohort provides project teams the dedicated planning time and facilitation to develop high impact community-engaged scholarship projects. Over four facilitated sessions, teams work together to refine and advance their project plans to ensure logistic feasibility, community relevance, scholarly rigor, and social impact.

Civic Action Week 2023

Civic Action Week is a week-long, campus-wide event for students, faculty, staff, and the broader community and takes place Oct. 16-21. Educational workshops and speakers will occur throughout the week and service project days in the community will occur on Oct. 20 and 21. Forging Advances in Health Equity and Health Disparities

2023 GPNP Summit

The Greater Pittsburgh Nonprofit Partnership (GPNP) biennial Summit: Transformative Leadership, Partnership, and Co-creation, offers an opportunity to connect 1,000+ attendees with pertinent will be in-person at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center on Nov. 9 and 10. You can register for the event, sign up to volunteer and learn more on the Forbes Fund website.
 

Housing in the 21st Century: Challenges and Solutions

Metropolitan Universities Journal Available Online

The latest issue of Metropolitan Universities journal (MUJ) is now available online. MUJ disseminates scholarship and research relevant to urban and metropolitan universities, exploring the relationship between campuses and communities. MUJ accepts manuscripts on an ongoing basis.

IARSLCE Conference

Inviting a community of scholars, researchers, practitioners, students, and community partners to the 2023 IARSLCE Conference, Redefining Research, Access, & Inclusion in SLCE at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. The conference takes place Oct. 25-27, 2023.
 

NYLC Service-Learning Certificate Programs

National Youth Leadership Council (NYLC) is offering two service-learning certificate programs: Certificate in Excellence (Fall 2023) and Certificate in Instructional Leadership (Fall 2023 and Spring 2024). Learn more about dates, costs, and learning objectives on the NYLC website
