Hello, Welcome to this edition of Vitality. This month we are happy to share our expression of interest form for our Client Advisory and Co-design Committee, and another presentation from our Client Forum last year. Take a look below. Until next time, take care.
As we move into 2023, we are intent on doing more to put you and all our Clients at the centre of everything we do.
As I mentioned in my letter at the end of last year, we want to hear from you and continue to keep listening, understanding, and actioning feedback. To achieve this, in February of 2023 MSWA will be establishing a Client (and carer) Advisory and Co-design Committee. This Committee will be a formal mechanism for MSWA Clients and their carers to provide input into MSWA’s Client services and service delivery models and processes, including how we communicate with you. This committee will establish a strong connection with the community and MSWA.
We are conscious that for the Committee to affect change, we need an enthusiastic and diverse group of people to volunteer to sit on it and contribute. We are therefore calling for nominations from now until 15 February, after which we will select the Committee that is representative of people with a variety of:
• Gender
• Cultural backgrounds
• Geographical locations
• Neurological conditions; and
• Needs or stage of their health journey
If we are oversubscribed, we will consider other avenues of participation.
If you or your carer (not MSWA carers) are interested, you can find the Terms of Reference here, which outlines the role and workings of the Committee.
Please take the time to read the Terms of Reference and if you are still interested, please fill out this form. I would like to thank you and highlight the importance we place upon your feedback now and in the future. We look forward to the improvements we can achieve together with closer collaboration.
Kind regards
Melanie Kiely

We will hold the challenges of living with chronic illness in focus throughout the course, because Self-Compassion is particularly relevant to anyone living with a neurological condition or disability. The workshop begins on the 13 March 2023.
