The Trusted Housing Partners Pilot connects housing partners in communities across the U.S. by both educating and equipping them for renting to ORR-eligible populations and also provides a platform to host their housing information and availability on the Housing Hub and Directory. Thus far, the Trusted Housing Partners initiative has engaged a dozen housing providers (landlords and property managers), in turn increasing the visibility of nearly 1,000 housing units across the country. Click the button below to schedule a quick call with our team. ![]() New Locations Added to the Housing DirectoryORR-eligible populations and their supporters in Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Nebraska, and Missouri can now find relevant housing support services and resources in their communities by searching the Housing Directory map. With these additions, RHS’ Housing Directory now spans 27 states and the District of Columbia. New locations to be added to the Directory in the coming weeks include areas of Louisiana, Nevada, South Carolina, Utah, and Vermont. Anecdotal data and research findings suggest that immigration generally boosts local economies, and thus it is vital to note the positive correlation both immigration and housing stability contribute to communities. This article highlights examples of and data on the economic impact of housing stability on local communities, reflects on current success, and looks ahead to future opportunities. Housing is a key part of economic success for every American and yet there continue to be challenges to finding, obtaining, and maintaining housing that is safe, secure, and affordable. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and local Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) can offer assistance in securing housing through a myriad of services such as, but not limited to, education, subsidized housing, and resources. This resource focuses on housing assistance programs applicable to ORR-eligible populations and discusses best practices on how both HUD and PHAs can utilize their programming requirements to best assist these populations.
