Hello Members, The planning and development of the Jobs Expo on September 1 is now in full swing with any expressions of interest being registered on our website. The Expo will particularly show-case how many and varied career options we have in Wodonga to students, job-seekers and career changers as well as help find employers desperately needed people. We are proud of the work we are doing with our partners on this for the Wodonga community, so a shout out to Jobs Victoria, City of Wodonga, Wodonga TAFE, NELLEN and LaTrobe University. Working together is always the key to success. Great to see the participation and fun of the Wodonga GEMS Awards happening around us, both physically and on-line. We know time is precious in this current
environment, but do find the time for a few minutes a day for yourself and even if you don’t actually participate, look at and share the tagged posts. Tiny things become mighty, like that rolling snowball so may all bring a moment of happiness for you and for someone else. There are only a few spots left for Business After Hours next Wednesday at Hyphen, as we are near venue capacity. If you are not registered, you will be unable to be admitted to Hyphen due to the capacity limitations. This is a great opportunity to discover all that Hyphen offers. On a quite serious note, there is so much illness around at present. Lots of media coverage and confusion about face-masks and working from home arrangements. I urge all of us to act like adults and apply some common-sense. If you are
unwell, stay home. If you feel uncomfortable without a mask, wear one. Individual workplaces should be able to make their own rules about these matters. We are now all well-educated in this space, we shouldn’t need Government mandates to tell us how to be responsible. Let’s keep businesses open by our using our own responsible behaviours. -Graham

Wellbeing with a Difference
Make a family/team playlist and play it through at least once. Bonus entry if you have a dance party and share with us a video or tik tok of the fun!
Strangers are just friends waiting to happen. Talk to a stranger. Strike up a conversation with someone new. Share either a selfie, what you learnt about that new person on socials for 5 points. *Please respect privacy and don’t share full names, details, etc without consent. We just want to get Wodonga chatting a little bit more with each other so if you are comfortable sharing, send us a DM (Direct message) and we will add the points to your total.
Wodonga has some of the most talented people around and we want you to show those talents by making something (jewellery, artwork) for a family member/friend/team member. Doesn’t have to be big, elaborate or perfect, just has to be from you.
Show us a soldier dancing a beautifully choreographed rendition of the Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy or Swan Lake while dressed in full combat fatigues.
Obstacle Course Day! Nothing gets the kids (or adults!) more excited about doing household chores (or office chores) than making it a challenge. Design a challenging obstacle course that incorporates no less than 3 chores that must be done and speed run its completion.
This form is to collate the expressions of interest for any businesses wishing to be an exhibitor, attendee or if you would like to advertise a job posting during the event on 1st September, 2pm-8pm. We are also gathering EOI's for an opportunity for potential employees, students, employment agencies or other interested parties to have tours of your business facility. Please submit details of any job vacancies that you have and wish Business Wodonga to post on your behalf during the Wodonga Job Fair Expo.
