What this means for #UnitecStudents No images? Click here Kia ora , The Prime Minister today announced the requirement to hold a current vaccination certificate will be removed from the COVID-19 Protection Framework as of Tuesday 5 April, 2022, along with a few other changes. In response, Unitec is reviewing its current risk assessment and policy requiring vaccination for 2022 course enrolments in place for all levels of the framework. We want to provide clarity to our learners on what this means for your studies with us, and will update you once the review has been conducted. For the majority of students who have already provided evidence of vaccination, there will be no change. Returning to campus Expert modelling suggests the current Omicron outbreak has reached its peak in Auckland. As such, we are looking forward to returning to campus for teaching and learning in the near future. Courses will begin resuming their normal delivery modes from either Tuesday 26 April (after ANZAC Day) or Monday 2 May (following the mid-semester break). For most courses this means a return to on-campus classes while maintaining some online or blended activity when required. Your lecturer will provide more information regarding any changes to your course delivery. Student support We understand the sudden changes, though welcome for some, can be a worrying for others.
