Whilst the majority stick to known paths, there are the few who are venturing onto land that is not a designated footpath, bridleway etc. Most will go unchallenged because as farmers you’re covering a large area but from a health and safety perspective, with farm machinery in operation at this peak period, it is essential to know where the public can access across your land. One or two may not be an issue, but it will become increasingly enticing to the public to walk around the picturesque areas in which we live and work.
