Octagonal Challenge – Auckland claims the double!

The Octagonal Challenge last weekend saw Auckland take top honours in the Development and Premier competitions after a thrilling two days of competition!

  • At Howick, the Development squad delivered under pressure, with the women’s side finishing first and the men securing enough points to claim the overall title.
  • Over at Browns Bay, the Premier event provided a perfect National Intercentre warm-up, with Tony Grantham leading Auckland to victory in dominant fashion.

Next up? The 1-5 Year Octagonal is just around the corner, with Auckland’s squad to be announced next week!

Burger, bowls, and big fun at Howick Bowling Club!

-- Kashmira Umrigar

The Howick Bowling Club was the place to be last Thursday evening as we kicked off our much-loved Burger and Bowls Twilight series for 2025! The first of six weekly sessions, running from 13 February to 20 March, brought together a fantastic mix of familiar faces and fresh talent, all ready to roll up!

Teams hit the greens for two lively games, followed by some well-deserved relaxation in the upstairs clubroom—complete with yummy burgers to refuel. The atmosphere was buzzing, and the fun was contagious!

A huge shoutout to our amazing club volunteers, whose dedication and hard work make this event run like clockwork. Here’s to more laughter, friendly competition, and tasty burgers in the weeks to come! Don’t miss out—see you next Thursday! 🍔
