Let's Talk Promotions

Last month we shared tips from those currently in the promotion process. We want to take a moment to congratulate one of the contributors.

Dr. Valeria Cantos, Assistant Professor in the Department of Infectious Diseases, shared the tip "attend all of the promotion workshops, as they are very helpful. Also, download the CV, teaching, and service portfolio templates now, and start filling them up."

Dr. Cantos has since been notified that her promotion to Associate Professor is official  effective September 1, 2023. Congratulations, Dr. Cantos!

Dr. Johnson describes how he found his research niche in nocturia (i.e. urinating at night), lessons he has learned from both sides of the mentorship coin, how his childhood experiences inspired him to serve vulnerable human (and canine) populations, the origin of his Twitter handle (@BaldHeadTed), and the three songs he cannot live without.
