CamDiab has received authorisation from The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the US for its advanced adaptive hybrid closed loop app, CamAPS FX, as an ‘interoperable automated glycaemic controller device’ (iAGC). The Android app – known as the world’s first artificial pancreas app – helps to manage glucose levels in people with type 1 diabetes, aged two and older, including during pregnancy. Using a combination of sodium-glucose transport protein 2 inhibitors (SGLT2is) and glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) is beneficial for treating type 2 diabetes. Researchers have examined the safety and effectiveness of SGLT2is and GLP-1RAs combinations by assessing their cardioprotective effects and glucose-lowering capabilities within a real-world setting.
