National CCTV Assessment – Industry briefing and expressions of interest

Australian governments are committed to strengthening the safety, health, and wellbeing of children in early childhood education and care (ECEC).  

To support this commitment, Education Ministers have agreed to conduct a national CCTV assessment in up to 300 ECEC services across the country.

They invite services and providers interested in participating in the assessment to attend an industry briefing.

What the session will cover 

• An overview of the assessment, its objectives, timelines and role in government’s child safety reform agendas. 
• The EOI process, including participation payment coverage and ongoing child safety obligations. 
• Data collection and monitoring requirements for participating services. 

The briefing will be recorded and made available online for those unable to attend.  

A formal EOI process will open on Monday 22 December 2025. Briefing materials and EOI information will be published on the department’s website that day. Stage 1 of the EOI process will close on Friday 9 January 2026.
