Yoon promises to support scientific innovations​​​​​​​

President Yoon Suk Yeol said Tuesday that science and digital competitiveness are directly linked to the country's survival and promised to support scientific innovations.

South Korea will set up safety standards and an insurance system for the launch of Level 4 autonomous vehicles in the country by next year, the transport ministry said Sunday.

The move comes as South Korea has been pushing to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 40 percent from the 2018 levels by 2030 and reach carbon neutrality by 2050.

3rd launch of space rocket Nuri slated for May: space institute​​​​​​​

"A launch management team will be formed in late March, and Nuri will be fired in early May as planned," Choi Hwan-seok, who is in charge of the Nuri project at the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, said in a press conference.

South Korea will invest 6.7 trillion won (US$5.3 billion) in science research in 2023 as the country seeks to secure key future technologies as new growth engines, the science ministry said Sunday.

A Guidebook of Research Integrity For International Scholars

NRF(national research foundation in Korea) published a guidebook which introduces Korea's legislation system on research ethics and explains the investigation of research misconduct, and the scope and types of research misconduct. It aims to foster research integrity and to prevent research misconduct for International researchers in Korea.
