Message from the Director

On behalf of the AGRS Team, I wish you all a safe, exciting and successful New Year 2025. We trust that you have had a relaxing and refreshing break.
2025 will be an exciting year for all of us with the creation of the new Adelaide University which is being built on the legacies of our University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia. We will use this eNewsletter to keep you informed of any developments and decisions that may have an impact on you when transitioning to Adelaide University at the end of 2025. Moreover, there will be email communication, forums and other opportunities to stay up to date and have opportunities for input. So please look out for future editions of this eNewsletter

and – as always – emails from the Grad School and/or the AU Research Domain. Updates and Frequently Asked Questions can also be found on the Adelaide University website.

Additionally, please be reminded, the Grad School is here to support all of you, either face-to-face in the Schulz Building on Level 10 between 9am and 5pm or by email graduate.research@adelaide.edu.au and phone at 08 8313 5882. We will also continue with our informal lunchtime catch-ups every first Friday of each month. This is an opportunity to hear from us but also for you to ask any question about your study. Watch out for Zoom details to be sent on the day.

In 2025, we will continue with all the initiatives that were implemented in 2023/2024 such as the HDR social networking events, the HDR achievements awards, the HDR experience survey and the peer mentoring program.

Best Wishes,

Dr Doreen Krumbiegel, PhD MBA

Tip of the Month

Start your year with a strategic plan! Break your year into quarters and set specific, achievable goals for each.

Bonus Tip: Review your plan monthly and stay flexible—research rarely goes exactly as planned!
